The first thing we need to mention about the beaches in La Manga del Mar Menor is that they belong to the beautiful and warm Mediterrenean Sea or Menor Sea.

The beaches of La Manga, as in the rest of the Mediterrenean, are nice and clean and have strong currents. In the beaches of Menor Sea the waters are generally a bit more calmed and the temperature of the water is superior to that of the Mediterrenean.

The beaches of La Manga are scattered between 4 regions. San Javier, San Pedro de Pinatar, Los Alcazares and Cartagena. Cartagena, San Pedro and San Javier both have coasts in the Menor Sea and Mediterrenean.

In general there are plenty of places to go while on vacation in this area of Spain on the south east. You´ll find golden sand beaches, rock beaches, pebble beaches, extensive, urban, semi/urban and isolated. Beaches with services or isolated beaches lacking services.
